He specializes mainly in invasive cardiology and clinical electrophysiology, where he implements new methods of diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.

He has undergone numerous training courses in electrophysiology, ablation, implantation of pacemakers, cardioverter-defibrillators at the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital in Arhus, Denmark, and Catharina Hospital in Eidhoven, the Netherlands.

In invasive cardiology, he deals with the treatment of patients with acute coronary episodes, including myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, the determination of optimal therapies, the determination of risk factors for sudden cardiac death, the impact of metabolic disorders, mainly diabetes mellitus, impaired renal function on early and distant outcomes in patients with myocardial infarction.

Another important clinical and research topic is non-operative repair of severe functional mitral regurgitation using the MitraClip system in high-risk patients disqualified from cardiac surgery, and percutaneous closure of the left atrial appendage in patients with atrial fibrillation at increased risk of ischemic stroke.
